Ahh, Spanking the Monkey - For some an amusing pastime, for others a colloquial term for flogging the dolphin. But for those of us who own neither monkey nor dolphin, what else can the term be used for? Well, replace "Spank" with "Laugh my ass off at" and "Monkey" with "Random, funny, pointless shit that pervades our daily lives" and you get a pretty good description of what I am trying to do here.
